“Take chances, make mistakes, and get messy.”
Qualifications
I minored in Elementary Education at Northeastern University, and upon graduating summa cum laude, I received my Elementary Teaching License (Grades 1-6). I am also endorsed by the Massachusetts Department of Education as a Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Teacher.
EXPERIENCE
During my time at Northeastern, I had the opportunity to work in schools across the Boston area as a classroom aide, substitute teacher, after-school club volunteer, and eventually, as a student teacher with my own classroom. My theatre background has made me a better listener, collaborator, and communicator - all skills necessary to building strong relationships with students, parents, and fellow teachers.
currently
I recently completed first residency as a teaching artist with Lifeline Theatre, a Chicago theatre company dedicated to producing literary adaptations for audiences of all ages. I have been volunteering with their education department since I returned to Chicago earlier this fall, and I’m having the best time helping students in Chicago Public Schools discover how theatre has a place in their lives. I can’t wait to be back at Lifeline this summer, as an Assistant Teaching Artist at THEATRE CAMP! :)
