the buzz/what’s happening:

This summer, I was honored to be named one of the two recipients of Bramble Theatre Company’s Berry Award for their 2024 Festival of Unfinished Work!

This year's festival featured an excerpt of my play, TOP GIRL, or the cheerleader play, alongside new work by five other local Chicago playwrights. Audiences had the opportunity to vote for which plays they’d like to see developed further, and as one of the winners, my play will continue to be workshopped at Bramble, culminating in a staged reading in the spring of 2025. Stay tuned for dates & further info!

I also recently had the opportunity to facilitate a talkback with Sarah Ruhl (along with director Polly Noonan and actor Zane Pais) following a reading of her new play, Letters From Max, at the Poetry Foundation.

The play is adapted from her 2018 book of the same title, comprised of letters and poems she exchanged with poet Max Ritvo. Sarah is one of my all-time favorite writers/literary heroes, so this was truly the thrill of a lifetime :)
